Hi,

c. Wish you all the best for 2008.

'Wish you . . . ' is not correct here. You need to begin with either 'I wish you . . . ' or 'Wishing you . . . ' The former is for speaking, the latter is a short form that can be used in writing, eg at the end of an email.

As regards the preposition, they are all correct and no real difference in meaning is normally intended. Here are a few comments on subtleties.

a. I wish you all the best in 2008. During or in the period of 2008.
b. I wish you all the best of 2008. 2008 has many good things to offer you. I hope you will receive the best of these things.
c. I wish you all the best for 2008. I interpret this as meaning that I will travel through 2008 and you hope I will have good experiences. It's rather similar to 'during'.

But, as I said, really they are all very similar. Just smile, and answer 'Thank you. Same to you.'Emotion: smile

Options A is the most appropriate way to express a desire that the year 2008 is an enjoyable one. Options B and C might be grammatically correct, but they do sound slightly awkward.
