Hi there,

please can some teacher check if the following sentence is correct?Check also the words in the brackets.

"You made the things easier (much more easier?).Sometimes customer make it harder than it should be.(not sure about the tense and verb here : has to be or should it be??). Some of them understimate the printing process (printing of pictures I mean) and often slow the work down by postponing the sending of files (sending of the files here is in doubt)for the printing."

Thank you!!

"You made everything easy. Sometimes customers make it harder than it should be. Some of them underestimate the printing process, and often slow the work down by postponing the sending of print files."

Students: Are you brave enough to let our tutors analyse your pronunciation?
Hi Pamela,

Here's how I would change things: "You made things easier" (no need for a definite article on plural "things") Also, as a comparative, "easy" doesn't take "more", "easier " already means this.

Perhaps, "Sometimes (a or the) customer makes it harder than it has to be.

"Some of them underestimate the process of printing photos (changed this from "printing process" because this usually does not refer to photos) and often slow the work down by delays while waiting for them to send their files.
Hi Clive,

really of help !

Can you just tell me why you used "easy" and not "easier" ? Any grammar reason or other?

Thank you

Pamela
Hi.

It wasn't clear to me what you were comparing to, ie easier than what?'
And it did not seem to me like your main purpose was to make a comparison.

maybe you are right .... My idea was to stress the fact that dealing with customer X was easier than dealing with other ones.... Maybe there is no need to make this comparison..

Thank you
