mosjaRussian authoritarian school

This is not the correct expression.

Do you mean a military school? A military academy? A boarding school? A public or private school? A school operated by the government of Russia?

I ask because in English we have no such thing as an authoritarian school.

Is "authoritarian" just your personal opinion of how the school is run? Or is this a real kind of school in Russia, like a school of painting or an engineering school or a music school?

mosjacausing a huge cut-down on school budget.

This is awkward. It would be more natural to write a huge reduction in the school's budget.

Yes.

Yes.

OK. The format of your post suggests that it's a newspaper article. You have a headline and a body. Is that what you're aiming for?

Students: Are you brave enough to let our tutors analyse your pronunciation?

Yes, wait. You can't put your opinion when writing a newspaper.

Yes. You beat me to it. You can state your own opinion if it's an editorial, however. I was wondering which direction you were going in — reporting news or writing an editorial. From what you have written so far it seems more like a report of news (except for comments like 'authoritarian').

My version for your comparison:

School Magazine to be Published at Victor High.
Victor School — a local school in Russia — is distributing its very first school magazine this week. As a consequence, funds set aside for other needs have been greatly reduced. Most notably the cafeteria will be forced to offer students fewer menu choices. The first edition of the magazine will be publicly available on the 18th of June.

In journalistic style the em-dash has a space before and after it. That dash is made with ALT-0151. (In academic writing there are no spaces before and after the em-dash.)
