Hello every body.

What does "Put your heart out of joint" mean? Does it mean makeing your heart sad?

It's not an expression I've heard; to put someone's NOSE out of joint is normal, though. That means to make someone annoyed by doing something that they didn't want you to do.

There is an expression "to put someone's nose out of joint" that means to upset someone, cause him chagrin, make him feel offended in a way he deserves, etc. "Put your heart out of joint" seems to be a play on that, but what it might mean I am sure the writer couldn't even tell you.
