Hi teachers,

Is the question correct according to the answer?

How was Adam?

He was tired.

What about this one? Which is the correct option?

a) What did the policeman at the door of her house say?

b) What did the policeman say at the door of her house?

He said, "We've looked all through the house, and there's ..."

Thanks in advance
"How was Adam?" is okay.

A) and B) are equally correct, but "her" needs an antecedent.

What did the policeman say at the door of the woman's house?
Hi Avangi,

Yes, it has an antecendent. But thank you to remind me about it.Emotion: wink

I see two different meanings, though.

There are two (or more) police officers. One is by the door. It's a question of what that person said.

There is one police officer, and it's a question of what he said at that location, not in the bedroom or the kitchen.

It's this one.

Then you want A.
