Please post the entire sentence or context. I guess it would mean gross income; that is, income before any required deductions.
One likely meaning of “raw income” is money earned from natural or unprocessed materials. In developing countries where industrialization has yet to take place, large part of their incomes is from agricultural produce e.g. coffee, tea, cotton, cocoa sold to the developed countries in its unprocessed (raw) state.

I doubt it.
To fivejedon: I doubt it.
Well, if you so doubt it then why don't you post your answer to the question. Isn't that the main goal?

I cannot offer a helpful alternative until I see the full context.

I am not asking for an alternative; simply that instead of rushing to criticize me you should post what you ‘deem’ to be the correct answer so that the student is not left confused.

I did not rush to criticise you. I simply said that I doubted that one likely meaning of 'raw income' was 'money earned from natural or unprocessed materials'. I still do doubt it. There can be no 'correct' answer until we have more context.
