If a person who seems to be choking on food or a foreign object can speak, do not interfere with that individual's attempt to cough up that object. If the person is unable to speak, provide emergency care by using the Heimlich maneuver. If it is not effective the first time, do not be afraid to repeat the procedure.

The author wrote this pessage to....

A) persuade readers to learn the Heimlich maneuver.
B) inform readers of the procedure to help choking victims.'
C) entertain readers with a humorous anecdote.
D) convince readers to learn the Heimlich man

I think I will go with A

I seriously need help with reading skills because I'm falling behind in my classes. Is there any website that teach you how to do this? Thanks.

My teacher says that I'm a good writer. But I have problems with reading.

I think I will go with A I think B is the best answer. The article advises against the maneuver in some cases, and gives an overall approach to dealing with the situation. (Note that A and D are practically identical.)
