Hi.

My professor has asked me to send him an email as a reminder for sending me his files.

I have prepared the following text. I would be deeply grateful if you could comment on it.

"Dear Dr. -----,

This is just a short note as a reminder of sending me the files we were talking about.

Thanks for yor help

Cheers

Hrsanei "

Feel free to change it in a way that sounds better

Thanks

I've made a few changes:

Dear Dr. --,

This is just a short note as a reminder for you to send me the files we were talking about.

Thanks for your help.

Cheers,

Hrsanei

Hi,

Note that 'Cheers' is quite a casual and famiiar thing to say to someone. Do you have that kind of relationship with your professor?

Thank you very much AlpheccaStars.

BTW, can I know your first name, so I can thank you by saying your name to give my appreciation in more personal way.

Regards

Thanks Clive for the correction. No. I don't .I don't have that kind of relationship.

I think I had better use yours sincerely instead.
