Hi Selvakumar

Up is an adverb in your sentences as it is a part of the phrasal verb ring up and tomorrow or his doctor is not its object. Up is a preposition in this sentence: I was walking up the street.

Yes, in BrE up is sometimes omitted after ring.

Hi,

In N. America we say 'call' rather than 'ring (up)'. eg I'll call you tomorrow.

Ring up - also has a different meaning which means to spend money mindlessly. She rings up hundreds on her credit card every month for clothes and cosmetics.
