Hi people!

Once I came across this one in a Russian book. It inspired me somehow, and I'd like to share it. Maybe this will give you at least a smile. Emotion: smile

Look to this day!
For it is life, the very life of life,
In its brief course
Lie all the verities and realities of your existence:
The bliss of growth
The glory of action
The splendor of beauty,
For yesterday is but a dream
And tomorrow only a vision,
But today well lived makes every yesterday
a dream of happiness
And every tomorrow a vision of hope.
Look well, therefore, to this day!
Such is the salutation of the dawn.

by Kalidasa, Indian Dramatist

By the way, to state a topic. What do you think of this approach? Would you try to follow it or do you think it's a madness?

If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And-which is more-you'll be a Man, my son!

--Rudyard Kipling

And what is more, you can turn back at any time and say: "Yes, it was worth living it!" How many of us dare to say it?
I like that quote very much. Emotion: smile Thanks, Lawyee!

Well, I would, if only I understood what it is about! LOL Emotion: stick out tongue
Maybe I am too dumb to understand that, but isn't all that just like saying "Carpe Diem"? ...For yesterday is but a dream, And tomorrow only a vision...

And this line...
But today well lived makes every yesterday a dream of happiness...
...reminded me of a line in an Italian song, which I think says one of the truest things someone could ever say... The singer was talking about a beautiful and perfect day, and transated in English it would be "It only takes a day like this, to erase 120 shitty days". That's true.

What's the meaning of "Carpe Diem"? I asked in another thread but no one answered.

seize the day

The Poem--- salutation to the dawn written by Kalidasa means that we should live in our today as yesterday is gone and will never come back and we should bury our yesterday and our future is just a vision and we should put curtains on it and we should only live in today as it is our day 😘😘😘Love these lines
