Hi all,

Let me know if this is a grammatically correct sentence:

The 2008 highlights were Bobby and Nihal’s brand of music and 1 Xtra and Continental Drifts bringing in urban Asian beats at the London Flavas; Desi Beats, Hip Hop, Drum n Bass and Electro as well some old party favourites eclectically blended by DJs featured at the BBC Asian Network mix tent.

Is the semi-colon used properly. I am not too sure about my comma usage either.

Hi,

Let me know if this is a grammatically correct sentence: Vijay, "Let me know" without "please" sounds very bossy in English.

I'm going to assume that all these names represent bands or musical groups. If so, I'd write it this way.

The 2008 highlights were Bobby and Nihal’s brand of music, and 1 Xtra and Continental Drifts bringing in urban Asian beats at the London Flavas.
Desi Beats, Hip Hop, Drum'n'Bass and Electro, as well some old party favourites, were eclectically blended by DJs featured at the BBC Asian Network mix tent.

Does this reflect your intended meaning?

Clive,

I consider you as a good friend. I don't need to be formal with you. Do I? [<:o)]

'Please' do not consider my not addressing all the friends at this super forum as being bossy.

I am too ignorant about grammatical English and will always learn from great guys like you.

Thanks,

Vijay
