Is this sentence correct:


"The Kmart is at the ground of my apartment building, the first shop on the right of the entrance door."

As shown above (for American English). 'shop' may be appropriate in British English, but in the U.S. Kmart is too big to call a shop.

Is this sentence correct:


"The Kmart is at the ground of my apartment building, the first shop on the right of the entrance door."

It is grammatical but not idiomatically smooth. I suggest: The Kmart is located on the ground floor of my apartment building, the first store to the right of the (lobby) entrance.
