Hi,

Are the following sentences natural to a native ear?

1. That would have been the best thing you brought along when you came over.

2. Nowadays even governments have started to use Twitter, just to show that they are in vogue too. (I am trying to that governments are trying to show that they are tech savvy)

3. My Excel basically freezes, with a green bar at the left bottom corer flashing.

Thanks,

MG.

1. [too much verb] That would have been the best thing to bring along when you came over.

2. Governments are not "in vogue", but things are. I would use your own expression: tech savvy.

3. This is grammatically correct, but I don't really understand it because I'm not too 'tech savvy'. Emotion: wink

I am not sure what you mean here by 'too much verb'.
