Emotion: smileDear All,

I need to include the following sentences in a report but I am not sure if they are grammatically correct. I would appreciate if you could correct them for me:

1) The divisional environmental policy still current as no changes of environmental legislation that could affect the division’s operations have occurred.

2) Group IT referred that the "health and safety video" previously accessible from the extranet had been removed from it as it was occupying 200 Mb of disk space.

3) 46% of the respondents have indicated that the division is "good" in promoting environmental initiatives.

4) A new document is being prepared to make contractors specify (or to specify?) the requirements of their construction environmental management plan.

5) When communicating the release of the new legislation it would be important:

5.1) to explain how the legislation will affect our division and its operations.

5.2) to indicate the name of the individuals (within the division) capable of providing further advice if required.

6) If the divisional director decides to put the new procedure forward a meeting is to be arranged to discuss its implementation and programme.

7) The environmental engineer is to discuss with Human Resources (HR) the possibility of delivering an environmental awareness session and putting a programme forward.

8) Once the environmental engineer has discussed the training session with the HR, he is to give feedback to the divisional director and talk about possible dates.

Thanks in advance,

AnnA

For the most part, I have standardized the phraseology and simplified the structure. Please check that I have not changed any meanings.

I have made an attempt to check your sentences to the best of my ability. I tried to maintain the original as much as possible, but please double-check the modified sentences.

(1) The divisional environmental policy still current as no changes of environmental legislation that could affect the division’s operations have occurred.>>

The divisional environmental policy is still in effect and unchanged, as no modifications of environmental legislation that could affect the division's operations have occurred. (The meaning of the original sentence was ambiguous to me since I could not decipher what the main verb is.)

(2) Group IT referred that the "health and safety video" previously accessible from the extranet had been removed from it as it was occupying 200 Mb of disk space.>>

Group IT referred that the "health and safety video," previously accessible from the extranet, had been removed as it was occupying 200 Mb of disk space.

(3) 46% of the respondents have indicated that the division is "good" in promoting environmental initiatives.>> OK.

(4) A new document is being prepared to make contractors specify (or to specify?) the requirements of their construction environmental management plan.>>

A new document is being prepared to make contractors specify the requirements of their construction environmental management plan.

(5) When communicating the release of the new legislation it would be important:>>

When communicating the release of the new legislation, it would be important to explain how the legislation will affect our division and its operations and to indicate the name of the individuals (within the division) capable of providing further advice if required.

(6) If the divisional director decides to put the new procedure forward a meeting is to be arranged to discuss its implementation and programme.>>

If the divisional director decides to put the new procedure forward, a meeting is to be arranged to discuss its implementation and program. (or programme, if you prefer the British spelling).

(7) The environmental engineer is to discuss with Human Resources (HR) the possibility of delivering an environmental awareness session and putting a programme forward.>> OK.

(8) Once the environmental engineer has discussed the training session with the HR, he is to give feedback to the divisional director and talk about possible dates.>>

Once the environmental engineer has discussed the training session with HR, he is to give feedback to the divisional director and talk about possible dates.

Please make sure I have no errors.
