Hello!!!

Please, what's the meaning of the underlined: "I didn't get a lot in class, but I know we don't come in a shot glass" ? (an excerpt from the lyrics "Rehab" (Amy Whinehouse).

Thanks,
Durkin

One can never be sure with lyrics. A shot glass is the smallest glass in which liquor is served. If you order a straight single shot of whiskey etc., the bartender will present it to you in a shot glass.

In such a drink, the emphasis would be on quality rather than quantity. Perhaps the lyricist wants to imply that his case is the opposite. - Just a guess. - A.
