Dressing in mandatory school clothes has led to numerous contradictions in many parts of the world. While advocates argue that it is essential to wear the same schooling outfits, opponents tend to concentrate on the permission for students to attire in accordance with their preferences.


Affirmatively, proponents assert that schooling uniforms can alleviate the disparity among students from higher and lower social statuses. Hypothetically, if pupils are allowed to wear optional items of clothing, those coming from wealthy families will presumably appear in opulent appearances. That would consequently lead to an inferiority complex in ordinary individuals. Therefore, a compulsory apparel set would eliminate the economic distance and give all students a sense of belonging.


On the other hand, antagonists suppose that schooling uniforms would likely cause a highly uncomfortable and humiliating sense in unique students. To be explicit, they are concerned that those being overwhelmingly corpulent would have to deal with bullying and body shaming when wearing uniforms. This is because those particular clothes, unlike special types of fashion items exclusively designed for them, may render them differentiated from their peers. If this situation occurs persistently, they would highly stop going to school to avoid disdainful glances from others.


In conclusion, schooling uniforms have caused divisions in our society. However, both schools of thought may concur that the school administrators and related educational organizations would need to seriously take students’ expectations and parents’ opinions into consideration so as to make the wisest decision on this particularly controversial problem.

Many students believe, or have been taught, that if they use high-level vocabulary, they will get a higher band score. This is a false impression. One of the four scoring criteria for Task 2 is "Lexical Resource."

A student with a high level of lexical resource not only knows many words, but they know how to use them. Here are the descriptors:

Band score 7:

- uses a sufficient range of vocabulary to allow some flexibility and precision
- uses less common lexical items with some awareness of style and collocation
- may produce occasional errors in word choice, spelling and/or word formation

Band score 6:

- uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task
- attempts to use less common vocabulary but with some inaccuracy
- makes some errors in spelling and/or word formation, but they do not impede communication

It is not enough to know a word from the dictionary; you have to use it correctly in a sentence. So it is much better to use vocabulary you know well than to make a lot of errors with words you are uncertain about.

Also, "sophisticated" sentences often impede communication.

The band score of your essay reflects how well you convince the reader of your argument points.
