The Snow Goose is a classic short novella which tells the story of a secluded hunchback and the bond he forms with a young girl through a Canadian snow goose.

Just wondering if you think this sentence is too long. I am not sure how I should include the italicised part.

Thank you

I think it's structurally fine, PBF The only thing that bothers me is the repetition of 'snow goose"-- it makes the sentence somewhat tautological (I use that word in a loose sense). How about something like this:

The Snow Goose is a classic short novella which tells the story of a secluded hunchback and the bond he forms with a young girl through an injured wild bird.

Thanks for replying Mister Micawber.

So you read the book Emotion: smile. Its such a touching story, right? I wonder if it was a popular tale because my local library has in it stack collection and the version it carries was published in 1975.

About the sentence, I wonder if I had made it clear that the injured bird forms the link between the two?

Thanks again

Yes, it is clear. The tale is popular reading and was also a well-received movie.'
