Roy Wilkins was among the last of a generation of civil rights activists who led the nation through decades of change so profound that many young Americans cannot imagine, even less remember, what segregation was like.

A) so profound many young Americans are not able to imagine, even less to remember

B) of such profundity that many young Americans are not able to imagine, much less to remember.

Guys , Help me understand the differences between so and such usage ?Is usage of such all right in second sentence B?

Thank you

I'd say that both are okay.

B) seems a bit wordy to me, I would stick with A).

"Even less to remember" sounds awkward. How about if I change it to "much less remember". Any difference?

Thank you
