CoburnMy brother just went back to Iraq for another 6 month deployment.

I was one of those in favor of attacking (or rather helping) Afghanistan and Iraq. Now I see things different: I don't want one more drop of American blood spilled for people that call us infiltrators, infidels and killers.

I want our troops out of Muslim countries. They don't deserve our help. They never appreciated anything we did to free them of dictators and Taliban fighters.

Let them do their thing....this is what they really deserve.

As a musilm all what i've got to say is THANKS! anyway i guess u really enjoy what's happening, as we are being killed nearly everywhere

This is the stangest thing I've ever heard that all these troops fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq come for the purpose of salvation. Please don't tell that they are Saviors. It's much more complicated that this, their political interest, oil and the geographical importance of the Gulf region are their higher purpose and they use their soliders as a means. Or can you justify why the ministry of oil and oil instituations are the only places which left intact during these wars.

what kind of help are giving iraq, killing more iraqis ? taking their oil? let their life worse than it has been? i just don't see any kind of help here it would be really great if they moved and left

no need for disasterous help! and you know what,Taliban says that they don't want the american army to leave because this gives them a reason to stay in iraq seems your press is trying to convince you that you are helping but be aware they don't help they kill more people and you see them bombing a mosque and saying wohooo yeah "we killed the fuckers" what a great help!
All the cries of imperialism and "taking their oil" are pure nonsense. The U.S. has been all over the world and we have only once launched a war to gain territory, and that was the Mexican American war. The price of oil went up after we went in, so if we were just "Taking it" why was I paying 3 bucks a gallon?

We screwed up Iraq in the 80's by giving them weapons (including the chemical weapons used to gas the Kurds) and encouraging the Iraq-Iran war and millions died. We should've toppled Saddam in the 90's in the Gulf War, but we didn't. Now Americans are going to have to pay in blood for our mettling in the past and the Iraqis are going to have to suffer as well until they can have a well trained security force that can get them back on their feet.
you don't know what's happening in iraq probably "taking their oil is nonsense" they have pipelines there and they are taking oil something it's really happening not an opinion go to iraq and see their pipelines see they are taking it, if they are helping so why the iraqis are complaining they don't have electricity adn food anymore you just hear they are sufferign and complaining man 665000 iraqis has died what's more we saw the american soldiers on tv killind and envading their houses while they are sleeping come on man stop being stupid and why are you so sure of what your country wants they would fool you for sure or try to convince you that it's for good while it's just causing more pain for iraqis and we saw how iraq turned to be on their hands so they aren't doing any good obviously iraq is just a hell and i think your press don't show it they just show the soldiers who are being killed and show you that iraqis are killers without showing you the awfull pictures of their bodies and children, if usa wants to help so give me a reason why are they killing the children why are they bombing?

I'm not going to argue with you because obviously you have no factual basis for any of your arguements. The death tolls of Iraqi civilians is 50,000 tops, and most of the deaths are from secretarian violence, not US soldiers. Electricity nearly at pre-war levels and I have no heard of any starvation. Also, you have no factual evidense that the US is "taking" oil. If the US had access to free oil we wouldn't be paying Saudi Arabia and Kuwait billions for it.

There have bene incidents of misconduct among US soldiers, however they are the exception.

Investigation of houses are necessary to prevent deaths from IEDS and other guerilla warfare methods.

I say how Saddam murdered hundreds of thousands if perhaps millions, and under his rule Iraq had no future. With a democratic process in place Iraq needs only to survive this period of strife and it can become a successful nation.
the iraqi says they are taking oil i told you thereis an american base there to take it we saw it and are kididngme 665000 iraqi dies what made them 50000 even in your press they mentioned that number no way 50000 i know it's becasue the conflicts between sunni and shea but the idea that they didn't make iraq better it is just worse in times of saddam they were suffering but now they are suffering more you just don't know what's happening there go and see and then judge it as clearly u don't know the reall number 50000? so funny? go and watch some iraqi news
David Did so many people have to die to get rid of a monster?
Who knows. But why did so many people have to die before anyone noticed the monster? That is truly the scary thought.

If you read the following it is impossible to believe that the USA invaded Iraq for humanitarian reasons:

Under the successive presidencies of Ronald Reagan and George Bush, the sold nuclear, chemical and biological weapons technology to Saddam Hussein.
In the early 1990s, UN inspectors told the US Senate committee on banking, housing and urban affairs -- which oversees American export policy -- that they had “identified many US-manufactured items exported pursuant of licenses issued by the US department of commerce that were used to further Iraq’s chemical and nuclear weapons development and missile delivery system development programs”.
In 1992, the committee began investigating “US chemical and biological warfare-related dual-use exports to ”. It found that 17 individual shipments totaling some 80 batches of biomaterial were sent to during the Reagan years.
These included two batches of anthrax and two batches of botulism being sent to the Iraqi ministry of higher education on May 2, 1986; one batch each of salmonella and E.Coli sent to the Iraqi state company for drug industries on August 31, 1987.
Other shipments from the US went to the Iraqi Atomic Energy Commission on July 11, 1988; the department of biology at the of in November 1989; the department of microbiology at in June 1985; the ministry of health in April 1985 and Officers’ City military complex in in March and April 1986.
As well as anthrax and botulism, the USA also sent fever, brucella melitensis, which damages major organs, and clostridium perfringens, which causes gas gangrene. The shipments even went on after Saddam ordered the gassing of the Kurdish town of , in which some 5000 people died, in March 1988.
The chairman of the Senate committee, Don Riegle, said: “The executive branch of our government approved 771 different export licenses for sale of dual-use technology to . I think it’s a devastating record.”
Other items which were sent by the US to Iraq included chemical warfare agent precursors, chemical warfare agent production facility plans and technical drawings, chemical warfare filling equipment, biological warfare-related materials, missile fabrication equipment and missile system guidance equipment.
