May I say ...
The table will be split into 2.

Thanks,

Hello Ritinha

You would usually use the full written form of 2 and 'in':

'The table will be split in two.'

Is this 'table' as in 'method of presenting data', or 'place to have lunch'?

(Fine in both contexts — I'm just curious.)

Thanks MrPedantic.

The 'table' as in 'method of presenting data'.

That's a relief. It sounded rather dramatic. I wouldn't have wanted to be halfway through my soup when it happened.

See you,
