Just before that goal, PSG’s share of possession had risen to 81%. Stats, eh?

(From the football match report.)

What does the interjection "eh" add to the meaning of the question Stats, eh??

It just adds emphasis to the word stats. Without more context and awareness of what stats the speaker is thinking about,it' hard to understand exactly what he is talking about. It may not even be a real question at all, but just a rhetorical question or an exclamation.

'eh' is a tag question.

My best guess:

(Those are good) statistics, aren't they?

It seems to me that I've somehow caught the notion of "eh" in Just before that goal, PSG’s share of possession had risen to 81%. Stats, eh?

I think that "eh" is, indeed, the tag (which I wasn't aware of) expressing a sort of disappointment, irritation, bewilderment at the very fact the the football team (PSG) lost the match despite having the 81% of the ball possession during the play.
