In the book about magic the author writes about placing an earthenware image of a cat or a lion on the roof.

He says: A clay lion on your roof won't by itself be effective. But an earthenware lion that you have visualized with protective purple energy streaming from its eyes - which you can see in your magical imagination stirring, rising to its legs and keeping watch over your property - will be more magically potent.

Does "stirring" refer to the animals eyes or to the animal in general?

So it's moving its eyes or the whole animal is moving and then getting up on its legs?
In this context it appears to refer to the entire animal.
OK. Thanks.
