Hi

1. It takes a lot of manpower and back-up to do this stuff, so this meant chaos for an already stretched organization, particularly in America where the Live Aid brand didn't mean as much.

--- does "stretched" mean that people in that organization were very busy, had too much work?

--- I understand that "Live Aid brand didn't mean as much" means in America it's not widely known what it is.

2. I feared we had pushed him too far but, in truth, no one else comes close at this stuff.

--- Does it mean that no one else knows better how to do certain stuff than him? He's the best one to do the job?

1. It takes a lot of manpower and back-up to do this stuff, so this meant chaos for an already stretched organization, particularly in America where the Live Aid brand didn't mean as much.

--- does "stretched" mean that people in that organization were very busy, had too much work? Yes, it also means that there aren't enough people. The common idiom is "stretched too thin."

--- I understand that "Live Aid brand didn't mean as much" means in America it's not widely known what it is. Also, not as interested in it.

2. I feared we had pushed him too far but, in truth, no one else comes close at this stuff.
