What subjects to you find it easiest to talk about? Eg sport, yourself etc.

What questions would you ask other learners that are at a lower intermediate level?

Learning works both ways - Teachers asnwer your questions so you learn. We learn from you how you like to learn.

Hi Dave,

I prefer talking about news and the things that are happening around the world at the moment with my teacher. Just to state an example, the vulcanic erupton in ireland caused a long discussion in my class, which was really nice.
Now we're doing some powerpoint presentations about the states of the US. It helps oneself to learn to present in front of the class, but you also get insights of the life, the landscape and the capital... there. Often we work with our learning book, which is the most boring one I ever came across. So I really appreciate it when we put the book on side and talk about some interesting stuff. Surely it's necessary to handle with the grammar, but it doesn't improve your spoken english and your writing skills a lot. Furthermore I love talking about sports, but that's very seldom in my class Emotion: big smile
The teachers have to follow a certain curriculum, so they haven't got much free time to vary from the actual learning.
But our teacher is very lazy. He finishes the hour ten minutes before the ringing. Most pupils are glad about this, because they don't manage learning english, but I would prefer proper lessons with learning vocab and so on...

I hope I could help you a bit Emotion: smile
Thanks Alex.

Unfortunatly my students are at a much lower level that yourself. I have to write a survey for them to ask each other and practice their speaking skills as a freer practise. So the answers will be yes or no.
Students: We have free audio pronunciation exercises.

Hope this helps!
Thanks Sophie.
