Hello Sir,

1. Yesterday, I went to cinema.

I have to write subject and predicate of this sentence.

Subject=I
predicate= went to cinema.

What about "yesterday"? Is it a part of predicate?

Now my general question is that if a sentence start with any adverb or adverbial then that adverb and adverbial is part of Predicate or Subject.Please help me.

Thanks.

Hanuman,

Adverbials always go with the predicate, no matter where they occur in the sentence.

Sir,

How can I write it(Yesterday, I went to cinema.) into two parts ,means into subject and predicate.

Subject=I

predicate=Yesterday, ......went to cinema.

Is this correct? or any other way to write it.

Thanks.
Dear Hanuman_2000,

You may say:

«I went to the cinema yesterday.»

«I» is the subject. The rest is the predicate.
