The table below gives data on the hour of leisure time per year for people in Someland.

Summarise the information by choosing and describe the main idea, and make comparisons where appropriate.
» You should write at least 150 words.

The table chart reveals the specific number of hours of the relaxation activities from different age groups in Someland over a year.

It is provided that the amount of leisure time available varies considerably across the age levels. While watching TV or videos is the most popular form of entertainment for all Someland inhabitants, the amount of time for teamwork activities or sports seems to decrease as they become older.

Teenagers and people in their twenties spend around 500 and 350 hours per year on interacting with a group of more than 4 people. Although the total hours of mingling in their 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s are fairly constant (between 300-350), socialising with more than 4 people drops dramatically to 50 hours in the 30s and 40s age groups.

In a year, teenagers and retired people spend around twice as much time for using their TV as those who are at working age. Home entertainment ranges from just over a thousand hours for the youngest and oldest people and an average of approximately 600 hours for everyone else. The statistic of the hours allocating by Somelanders for enjoying cinema follows a similar pattern.

According to the given figures, teenagers and young adults like attending exercise and sport activities on a group while it is avoided by people who are above 60 years old. Teens spend the greatest time with 450 hours per year for this way of entertainment and it is reduced when they grow up.

There is no such thing as a table chart.
The sentence is not very natural English.
For a complex diagram, you need to write more than one sentence in the first paragraph. All the ideas you need to express do not fit into one sentence.

Suggestion: Three or four sentences will give the reader the necessary information about the data you will describe:

1. The table lists the number of hours per year that people in Someland spent on free-time activities.
2. The data is given for six age groups, ranging from teenagers to people over age 70.
3. There are six different categories of activities. Three of these are done individually (exercise, watching TV and going to a cinema), and the other three are done as part of a group (socializing, sports).

It is provided that (unnatural) the amount of leisure time available varies considerably across the age levels.
