The line graph gives information about how many enquiries the Tourist Information Office in one city received in the first six months in 2011. The enquiries were received in three ways: in person, by letter or mail, and by telephone.
Overall, the number of questions the Tourist Information Office got by letter/mail and in person had the upward trending, while there were fewer and fewer enquiries made by telephone. In January, the fewest enquiries were made by people who directly come to the office, while in June, it outnumbered the other two ways of asking for information.
At the start of the year, the most common way that customers made their enquiries was by telephone with about 900 questions being recorded. Although over the period, the number trended upward, reaching 1600 in June, there was a decline of 100 enquiries between January and February. As for enquiries made directly in person, only 400 were received at the beginning; however, at the end, the number nearly increased by a factor of five, around 1900 questions.
