Hi, teachers! ♡.♡

I translated the first paragraph of an editorial from Korean to English published on “The Chosun Ilbo”, Korean conservative newspaper!

Like almost every country in the world, Korean economy was hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic, which prompted the government to present counter measures to support its households and industries.

Accordingly, the Korean government decided to inject money into its economy through various ways such as emergency disaster relief fund.

But some voices are criticizing that the government is just throwing money indiscriminately to the people without considering increasing budget deficit.

And this editorial urges the Moon Jae-in administration and the Democratic ruling party to stop make money fly and keep the nation’s finance healthy, drawing a comparison between Germany and Italia.

So teachers, could you give me some comments on the translation? ♥♥♥

Germany and Italia are the second countries that became ‘a super-aged society’ following Japan, where an elderly population (the number of people aged 65 and over) accounts for 20 percent or more of the entire population. Both of them once achieved fiscal soundness. But when you look at the percentage of debt to GDP as of 2019, the figures are 59.8% and 134.8% respectively. Even after spending the astronomical reunification cost of 2,600 trillion won, Germany still maintains its financial heath and economic vitality. Italia, contrastively, descended to ‘a patient’ of Europe. What made the difference between the two countries is whether political populism is prevalent or not in the country.

Teacher AlpheccaStars! T.T

I know there are so many students here who want to get their essays corrected and I didn’t expect to receive replies on my essays that much.

But how could you give feedback on TWO of my translations at once? ♥.♥

I hope I didn’t take other students’ opportunity to get comments from you T.T

You always make me realize what are the problems in my sentences to have them sound more English!

Your sentences are very clear and neat like those in articles on newspaper, I dare to say ♡.♡

Thank you so much teacher! >.<
