Hello,
I need some fresh ideas on what to teach my beginner class. They know numbers, animals, seasons, clothes and furniture and body parts. I want something new that they will have fun with. And I have a big problem I can't stop them talking to me in chinese I've tried different ways but they don't seem to work. What can I do?

Anyone please get back to me soon.
thanks in advance

Why not teach them some songs or nursery rhymes. There are lots of songs that have accompanying 'actions' and our kids have lots of fun with them in nurseries and infant schools.

Hi!

I know that 6 yr olds LOVE books. One of my alltime favourites is "The Very Hungry Caterpillar", we made the book and acted out the story line. As it covers so much, the children were able to learn something new as well as revise vocabulary already covered.

As for stopping them talking Chinese.....have you tried making special "English Medals"? You can easily make attractive looking medals that they put on when they enter the classroom, when they are wearing these medals they are only allowed to speak in English, if they speak anything else then you can take the medal away.

hope it helps
