Hi,

"He told me that my aunt had told him that they have no one to look after them."

"He told me that my aunt had told him that they had no one to look after them."

"He told me that my aunt told him that they have no one to look after them."

Are all these possible?

These are all correct.

told vs had told is the same.

'had told' is a bit more elegant.

they have vs they had

they have implies this is still occurring

they had implies the past and no longer occurring
