Hi teachers,

Can I say like this?:

1/ Jack: John, Mr.Brown wants to meet you .

John: Who is Mr.Brown? Is he that other man (I met in your house ) ?/Is he the man I met in your house the other day ?

2/ Jack said to John:" Does your friend look like that other man ( who gave us a dictionary)?"/ " Does your friend look like the man who gave us a dictionary the other day?"

Thank you in advance

Let's assume that I met two men in your home last week. One of them had black hair. Now consider you and I have this conversation today.

Me: I liked that man I met in your home last week.

You: Which one?

Me: Oh, the one with black hair. I didn't mean that other man.

When you use '. . . other man', you need to be dealing with a scenario that involves more than one man.

Best wishes, Clive
