The bar chart depicts the alterations in the amount of money human expenditure on five separate types of leisure, within three areas including Asia, Europe and the United States over the five year course between 1995 and 2000.

Overall, what stands out from the chart is that people had a tendency to invest more money in entertainment activities during the whole period. Another striking feature is that publishing was by far the most popular with inhabitants in all the three countries surveyed from 1995 to 2000.

As can be seen in the year 1995, the highest amount of money for all sections belonged to the US, with approximately 184, followed by Europe and Asia, at 97 and 67 respectively. While the total money spent on publishing was in the majority, the figure for cinema was the lowest in all of three distinctive areas.

In the 5 next years, the US, Europe, and Asia experienced a relatively significant uptrend in the amount of money expenditure, with 257, 131, and 110 in the equivalent figure. There was a remarkable increase of 12,5 and 25 in the total amount of money spent on television in Asia for the former and in the UK for the latter, whereas the figure for Europe still plateaued at above 63 in the period end.
