Hello friends,
I have some problems with the exactly meaning of this expression in this sentence I have read:
'All of the windows had been tightly closed, and the heat turned up full blast'
Could someone help me?
thanks in advance, Iannis.

Hello, Anon,

I guess the context is freezing weather; the persons within the house had closed the windows tightly, and had turned the heating up to its highest power.

'turned up full blast' has the Blast Furnace in mind as a simile
