The man who got arrested yesterday was/is Bob.

In above sentence, please advise which is better: was or is? If both are alright, is there any difference in meaning?

Thanks.

It is still Bob.....present tense. Better: Bob was arrested yesterday.

I just finished answering this in another thread. Please don't double-post. It wastes our time.

Thank you. Clive
