I think it may be sounded good with "They appreciated Tom Might Because Their daughter die without Tom's help". Because of the emphasis in this sentence is in "Tom". But in the sentence "They appreciated Tom's timely help to save Their daughter". Emphasis in this sentence is "Help". It would be nice if the save us are "people" not "help", Because it's not a person (^-^).
