Dear all,

At our office we had to send a communication to District Medical Officers of 6 districts of our state. The clerk concerned wrote the address as given below. I think that the symbol "/" should be replaced with "commas" since as per my understanding the symbol "/" means 'either this or that'. But here the communication. should be send to the District Medical Officers of six districts. So the symbol "/" should be replaced with "commas" as "Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Idukki, Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Palakkad. I'd like to get your opinion on this.

"From

The Director of Health Services

To

The District Medical Officer of Health,
Thiruvananthapuram/Kollam/Idukki/
Alappuzha/Ernakulam/Palakkad."

cat navy 425 I think that the clerks are following their superiors' writing style

But the superiors' writing style is (in my opinion) not superior! But at least it is comprehensible.
