Hi

Are these sentences natural English? Any suggestions please?

  1. I need to take the car for tire/tyre inflation.
  2. I need to inflate the tires/tyres. (even if the task is to be performed at a service station)
  3. The tires/tyres need inflation.
  4. The tires/tyres need air.
  5. The tires/tyres need pumping up.

Thanks,

Tom

I'm afraid I usually go with the simplest ways of saying things, if possible in words of one syllable. Emotion: smile

That means, in this case, I wouldn't go anywhere near the word "inflation", so my choices are limited to these.

My tires need air.
I need to get air for my tires.
