Hi

Would you say that the idiom 'to have a heavy foot' is fairly common among native speakers?

Thanks,

Tom

Fairly common. I don't hear it a lot, but I'm sure it's being said. Emotion: smile

I have always supposed he is in California. Here on the other coast, everyone knows what a heavy foot is, and you hear it from time to time. It is an unremarkable part of the language.

Generally. In the English-speaking world. Specifically, I'm in California, but the expression is not so limited as that.
