Hello,

I have to kame a sentence using "to make up one's mind'.

1. I made up my mind there and then that I would never get married.

2.You're old enough to make your own mind up about smoking.

Are both the sentences correct for the given context?

Thanks.

Hi,

They are both correct.

1. I made up my mind there and then that I would never get married.

2.You're old enough to make your own mind up about smoking.

Are both the sentences correct for the given context? Well, you didn't actually give any context.

Best wishes, Clive

Thanks and regards

To my ears, it would sound more natural to say--

1. I made up my mind, then and there, to never get married.

2.You're old enough to make up your own mind about smoking.
