My question is on the negation. I wouldn't think both the second and the third sentences are correct.

"He asked me not to come to the party" - (he really didn't want me there)

"He didn't ask me to come to the party" (maybe he forgot)

2. is the reverse of 1. as far as his wishes are concerned. Both are grammatically correct.
3. is just an ungrammatical structure trying to pose as 2!
