Apparently, Oprah's ratings have been falling. So she had a sex show: graphic descriptions of various different sexual activities.
Of course, the show also attracted its share of complaints, some of which have been archived at "the Smoking Gun"
(see )

One of the complaints was a little disturbing:
The Oprah show described with graphic detail a sexual term known as "tossing salad." It was so offensive that my child's head literally exploded. Please ban free speech so this never happens again.

Powerful salad, that.
Also, in the first complaint listed:
I and my colleagues in the Citizens against Unclean Network Trash eagerly await, and demand, your censure against Ms. Winfrey.

Nice acronym.

Obviously sarcasm. People made a big stink about something that kids wouldn't be watching anyways. I personally would have loved to have been made aware that this episode was coming up. It would've been the first episode of Oprah I ever watched.
How "graphic" did it get?

Hughes, you missed the name of the first person's organisation:

"Citizens against the Unclean Network Trash". Odd that the "A" in "against" ain't capitalised, ain't it? Does this *** TRULY expect genius executives who have more brains in one pube than she does in her entire head to think that that's a legit complaint?! What a tart! I WISH I had "her" email address!

Two things, Joe:
First, it's often a mistake to assume that people aren't as clever as you are.
Second, is this 'genius executives' thing related to your interest in setting up a TV station? If so, it's often a mistake to assume that media executives are as clever as one is oneself.

We have solved that problem. We cut peep holes in the side of a cardboard box, which we place on the child's head during Oprah. The clean-up isn't so bad. The whole thing, kid and all, goes into a big black trash bag.
I don't know why some people want the government to solve all their problems.

So who needs problems? I'd like the government to solve them all, but I don't expect it to any time soon.
