Thanks for the response. Google "next Wednesday", and here are the first few results, on my machine anyway. The term has an established and easily enough understood meaning that I and many others find to be counter-intuitive. In real world practice I have found that "next Wednesday" means "The Wednesday I am thinking of". Feedback

Same here. If you want to refer to a day that is more than a week away, it's best to use the date so not to confuse anyone.
