Is it correct to say that "to go back in time" and "to turn/put the clock" have roughly the same meaning?

For instance, which of the two expressions should I use in the sentence below?

1) I wish I could turn back the clock and relive the eighties again.

or

2) I wish I could go back in time and relive the eighties again.

If both are possible, do they mean the same thing?

Thank you.

If both are possible, do they mean the same thing? Both are possible. I think I'd prefer 'go back in time', because you want to go back so far.
