Hi.

1.Can we use a dash in an informal writing situation like this ?

To some of you -- please bring your usual writing instruments.

2 Can we omit a pair of comma after the phrases like the ones underlined?

Please look up my website/address/name, xxxxxxx, for additional information.

I think we usually don't use a pair commas for this,

Please look up the word "comma" in dictionary.

Our school motto "Let do our best" is good.

1.Can we use a dash in an informal writing situation like this ? -- You could, but it is not usual, I think. A colon would be fine.

2 Can we omit a pair of comma after the phrases like the ones underlined? -- You could in the second, but they are really needed in the first and third sentences.

Thank you. Are you saying we can use a colon like this? Don't you think a dash in better? I think this is informal writing.

Folks, it's test time. Are you ready? I know some of you have studied hard for this test.

To some of you: Don't forget to bring your pens and pencils on the testing day.

See you there.
