Is it ethical to use "i" and "u" for the relative pronouns "I" and "you" in a forum such as this?

Many thanks,

I think it isn't.
Welcome to the forum Grammarfanatic,

We all understand what is the meaning but, you can use as such as you prefer.

It's preferable to use I and you (though not a rule) because i and u instead looks disrespectful. It just shows a man's standard of speech.
yeah you're right

I really dislike it. I think, in the discussion forums, it's more acceptable, but if ur gonna ask me 2 help u in the grammar sections with language like that, then I am not going to be as eager to help because I am not going to think you are very serious about good usage.
