Hi everybody,

Should the below use a comma or semi-colon?

Generally, a semi-colon replaces a period (full-stop across the Atlantic) in order to show the close relationship between the two parts. [Mary really enjoys playing table games such as Monopoly, Hearts, Canasta and Bridge; her husband prefers watching television hours on end.]

The other use is to separate examples used after a colon. [Many things I like are: swimming in the nude; having a martini before dinner; watching soap operas; having lunch with friends; riding horses.]
