I was walking on a street with my friend and everything around me looked so beautiful, so I said something like “this view is so beautiful!”

but I think view is not proper here? Or there could be better sentences to say in this situation?

What do you say when you think some parts of what you are seeing look so beautiful?

It's OK, but I see what you mean. I would expect a view to be more of a static vista.

It depends. What a beautiful street. What beautiful scenery. What a beautiful town. This area is so beautiful. This neighborhood is so beautiful. Etc.

There is nothing wrong is saying, “this view is so beautiful!” as it was a casual and natural expression.

If you want to sound better and still natural, you can say, “this view is so splendid!”.
