How do you feel about the following sentences?
Successful college students usually are intelligent.
Successful college students are usually intelligent.

And do you see much difference between the following two?
1. It's a bless for some, but for others it is a curse.
2. It's a bless for some, whereas for others it is a curse.

I would go for the second option for sentence one (although I don't believe this is necessarily true!)

Second sentence.

You mean blessing not bless. I don't see any difference in meaning.
