I have a question.

Do you rather tend to watch movies in the internet, even though they are shown in the cinemas at the moment?
Dou you rather want to see your movies in high definition and with an understandable sound. I'd like to know how many of you watch movies in the internet. Do you feel bad while watching the movies? Just imagine you'd pay a lot of money for the admission in cinemas.
I just found out that one can find about every movie in the internet. Sometimes you even get to see movies, which will be broadcasted in cinemas in near future.
Suprisingly, many movies have a good quality in the internet, so it's quite fun to watch them at home. To draw a conclusion, the majority of young people tend to watch movies in the internet in germany, one just has to look at the counter of how many people watched the movie.

I'd really appreciate if you would share your thoughts with me!

I'm not sure what you mean by 'understandable sound'? A movie dubbed in German? We don't dub movies in Finland. They always have the original soundtrack and are provided with subtitles for those who don't understand the language. The only exception is movies for children who are so young that they cannot read.

I have never watched a movie on my computer, and I don't think I ever will. I'm not an avid movie freak anyway. Whether a movie is in HD is of no importance to me; I'm interested in the content of the film, not picture quality or any special effects.

What I meant by "understandable sound" is the quality, movies in the internet are often dubbed terribly. For instance when the speaker says something, and one second later his lips begin to move. That's often the case while watching movies in the internet.
I'm not interested in quality and HD either. It happens so often here, when you say to a friend " Want to go to the cinema with me watching a particular movie?". Ähhm, no I already watched it in the internet, this one's boring.

Fortunately most movies are dubbed into the german language. But I actually prefer watching movies in english. Does it bother you to watch with subtitles CB? Well, I don't think so. But are there people of the finnish population who complain about this ?

It's the other way around. People would complain if they had to listen to foreign actors speaking Finnish at the movies. It just wouldn't be tolerated.

That suprises me. But foreign actors wouldn't speak finish, the voices would be dubbed by finnish speakers, which would be a lot of work.
This is really interesting, i have a friend from Finland, and she told me about that thing, and her english is perfect. I'm so envious because i think that if it were so here in Italy my english at this time would be better for sure. The dub should be prohibited, Movies, from any language, sounds best with the original language. Can you imagine a translated music album? I think that it's the same thing.

Yeah, I agree with you till a certain degree. Certainly it would be helpful to watch movies only in english and a prohibition would be suitable. But only for advanced learners of the english language. I think there are many people in italy who can't speak english that good, it's the same for germany! For instance people who hadn't english in school or gave up.
But everyone can do it as he likes. I prefer watching movies in english. I think 80 percent of the movies I do watch are in english. At first it was hard to follow the plot, but things are better now Emotion: smile. Yeah music is a good example. But, are there really so many people focusing on the lyrics ? I think the broad majority of our society focus on melody and intonation of the singer, and also on the instruments.

For me, it's a good practice to watch English movies and TV shows. We can observe their diction, pronunciation, grammar and the way they speak. And sometimes it is good to imitate the actresses/actors lines while watching. (But don't do it inside the cinemas!). Sometimes if i do have spare time, i get to watch movies online, those movies that i haven't seen, and it feels good even if i am not inside the movie house. i just grab a popcorn or any chips with a pillow on my head. Yes, indeed. I don't remember how old I was when I learned that in Central European countries movies were dubbed![N] I felt sorry for the people in those countries and realised how lucky I was.

PS I see that you are from Makati City. I have been there. I stayed at the New World Hotel and had quite a few drinks at a British pub across the square from the hotel. I just don't remember the pub's name anymore.
