If you're still puzzled, look to the story of the three-legged pig for enlightenment.

It's interesting that the context is drugs and alcohol

There's also a book called Walk the Walk and Talk the Talk: An Ethnography of a Drug Abuse Treatment ... Univ. Press, 1992). It seems like this has long been a known catchphrase amongst those treating alcohol and drug addiction.

An important component of A.A. (and other 12-step recovery programs), is talking with other members about ones experience prior to and during recovery. Some people tell good stories (talk the talk), but don't demonstrate the activities in their lives (walk the walk).

manager's office, and the context made it clear
that it was one of those "motivational" posters
that managers like to put on display. Definitely
a case of "context is relevant"!
